- In this class, I hope to learn how to use technology to its fullest. That way, I am able to hopefully make posters, lesson plans, interactive lessons, and more to help my students learn in an innovative way. I am eager to become more acquainted with the different platforms we will use in this class as I hope to use it in the future. Whether in an office or in a classroom, technology is everywhere and it is growing so it will be helpful to learn how to use it to maximize my teaching abilities.
- Over the years, I have preferred taking notes and reading on paper, but recently I have adapted to taking notes on Word documents and reading through online textbooks. I have always used technology for watching educational videos as that is my preferred style of learning. I also enjoy drawing on my I-pad to solve out complex math problems. One of my favorite ways to study is also using recourses like Quizlet to make online flashcards and practice quizzes to study for any and all subjects. Overall, I do use technology everyday, especially for school and learning purposes as I believe it is the most convenient and useful method.
- Currently, I enjoy reading blog posts and watching Tik Toks to stay up to date with current trends and stories. I personally enjoy learning new interesting hobbies like pottery and various crafts and later trying them out in my free time. Although I understand it may not be reliable, I enjoy going to Google, Pinterest, or even Tik Tok to research a question or if I need advice or inspiration for something. I hope to use these resources in the classroom to get advice and inspiration as well as learn from other teacher's experiences to better prepare me to teach efficiently.

I really like how you connected your personal experiences with technology to your future teaching goals. Your examples, like creating interactive lessons and using platforms such as Quizlet, Word, and your iPad, show that you’re already thinking about both the practical and creative sides of technology in education.
ReplyDeleteI also like how you were honest about your transition from preferring paper to adapting to digital tools—it’s relatable and shows your flexibility as a learner. The way you pull inspiration from blogs, Pinterest, and even TikTok highlights your creativity and openness to learning from a variety of sources, which will be such a strength as a teacher.
I agree with your thoughts on how you can use technology to improve your students' learning within your classroom. I also think that your interest in online educational videos can translate into the classroom by sharing some with your students to grow the diversity within your teaching materials. TikTok and Pinterest are also resources that I like to use to find classroom decor inspiration, engaging lessons, and classroom management strategies from other educators. Social media can be a great place to connect with other teachers that you may not have access to in your area.
ReplyDeleteI really like your post. It’s cool how you’re looking to use tech in creative ways like making posters and interactive lessons. I think that’s going to make your classroom a super fun and engaging environment to be in. I also relate to preferring paper at first but slowly switching to digital tools. And I agree that Quizlet is a lifesaver for studying. I like how you mentioned using TikTok and Pinterest for inspiration, it’s such a good way to see real ideas in action.
ReplyDeleteIt's cool to see that you've really incorporated social media into your PLN! I agree that it is a very important skill to be able to use both Google Docs and Word. I relate to you using your iPad to help you learn. I have one and I use it for both practical and art purposes.
